  • The deadline to request meeting space has been extended to April 11 to give everyone time to review the schedule (see link above). Please use this form to make requests for AC boards, groups, or related organizations to have a meeting space with or without a meal, during the AC session. If you’ve already submitted your request but would like to make changes, you can edit your form through the link in your confirmation email. Help design a ministry marketplace for Annual Conference 2023

The context of the 2023 Annual Conference Session (both hybrid and local church) empowers us to be creative and gives us the opportunity to do things differently. We invite your participation in helping us design a Ministry Marketplace that achieves the goals of networking, connecting, and offering information and resources--in new ways.

Your organization, conference board/committee, or ministry setting is invited to partner with the AC planners to envision new ways to offer those connections and resources. This link will take you to a form to register your interest in Ministry Marketplace and to help us brainstorm together in creative ways to re-imagine Ministry Marketplace. Please feel free to share this link with others who may be interested.

Nominations sought for general & jurisdictional conference delegation

Due to some resignations on Oregon-Idaho's 2020 General/Jurisdictional Conference delegation, we have three openings for reserve delegates in 2024—plus an opening for a jurisdictional lay delegate. First, note that the long-postponed 2020 General Conference is now scheduled to meet in May of 2024, with the same delegation that was elected for 2020. Secondly, we do not yet have clarity on whether we will be able to fill the open spots on the delegation, but we are hopeful and want to be prepared, so we are opening this nominations process now.

For laity: please use this link to complete a form to nominate yourself for election to the delegation (the election will take place at the 2023 OR-ID Annual Conference Session; the delegation will attend the General and Jurisdictional conferences to be held in 2024). A lay delegate must have been a member of a UMC for at least two years, and an active participant in the UMC for at least four years. For clergy: you should have received an email with nomination instructions from the conference secretary on April 5. If you cannot find your email, please contact Laura Jaquith Bartlett at laura@umoi.org.

Legislative Assembly, other AC dates to remember & help line!

  • Legislative Assembly will be April 21-22. You're welcome to review the submitted legislation here. Only LA members and petitioners will be invited to the Zoom meeting on April 21 & April 22. If you're not a member, you can watch on our website: www.umoi.org.
  • Before the Oregon-Idaho Conference holds its business session June 8 - June 11, there are plenty of other dates to hold onto. For example, the installation of Bishop Cedrick D. Bridgeforth and the GNW opening session will be livestreamed on our website on May 20th. But there's also clergy session and closing session to keep top-of-mind! See the full schedule here.
  • If you need help, be sure to email us at achelp@umoi.org. Keep checking our website: www.umoi.org/ac for pre-Conference reports and other related information!
